GC smudge sticks are made from Goodwin Creek Lavender, Lavandula or ‘Goodwin Creek Grey’. This variety is known for its dark purple flower spikes and bluish gray foliage that both emit the familiar calming lavender fragrance. 

Our plants are never treated by chemicals. Just love, water and desert sun. We clean, harvest, and dry the flowers and branches and bundle them ourselves. You get a pure lavender smudge stick bound with pure cotton twine, ready to cleanse and create love and calm in your space.

Smudging has been a sacred cleansing practice for thousands of years. Traditionally, Indegenous American Indians use white sage, sweet grass or cedar to cleanse a space or ward off evil spirits. In Asia the use of incense is used to do the same, and to send messages to their relatives that have passed on, using the smoke to bring the message to the heavens.
